Join glass artist Sharon, that’s me, for a relaxed and creative morning in the studio where you will design and make your fused glass artwork.
Working in a small group of just four participants, you will receive plenty of individual guidance and a calm, welcoming studio atmosphere.
During the session you will learn how to safely cut and shape small glass pieces and build your own design using a beautiful selection of artisan materials including coloured glass, frit, stringers and decorative glass inclusions. With over 20 years of experience, I will guide you through the process step by step, as you create a unique decorative piece, such as a hanging ornament, bird or heart, a coaster or an insert for a night light or a trinket dish.
Once complete, your artwork will be kiln fired in the studio to permanently fuse the glass. After firing, your piece will be ready to collect or can be returned to you.
The workshop includes:
- Fused glass tuition from a glass artist with over 20 years experience
- Hands on instruction in glass cutting and design
- A wide selection of colourful glass, frit and decorative elements
- Kiln firing and finishing of artwork
- Use of studio tools, aprons and safety equipment
- Tea, coffee and refreshments in a welcoming studio environment.
No previous experience is needed, just curiosity and creativity.
Spaces are limited to maintain the small group experience.
