Copper Foiling – Short evening course

Starting Thursday 5th May 2022

Come learn, play and create small sun-catchers over 4 evening sessions.

The Copper foiling technique, developed in the Tiffany Studios in the1890s, is ideal for small decorative pieces, sun catchers and mirrors. Copper tape and solder are used to create a seam joining the pieces of glass.

Suitable for both beginners and those looking to refresh their skills.

Students will be able to create their own small copper foiled pieces guided by the tutor, using patterns provided or designing their own. First session making a small practice piece learning or refreshing skills, session 2, 3 and 4 will be making your owns pieces with tutor guidance.

Sessions will be focused but relaxed, currently limited to 3 students.

Wednesday Daytime course in Stained Glass

Wednesday Mornings Starting 11th May


As a beginner or as a refresher for those with experience, you will learn about the techniques involved in making a stained glass panel, cutting glass, leading and soldering.

Both beginners and experienced students will be able to create their own stained glass projects guided by artist Sharon Campbell.

Sessions will be focused but relaxed, currently limited to 3 students.

8 sessions in total

10.00am – 12.30 pm

Cost: £330.00 materials not included, apart from first session when learning or refreshing skills.

The cost of materials is not included and will be priced separately. These costs can vary depending on the size of the project and the choice of glass. It is possible to spend as little or as much as you decide.

Due to Studio storage space, the size of each person’s project is limited to roughly to 45cm x 60cm. If you have a specific project in mind please feel free to ring first to ascertain its suitability for the course time and the available space within the studio.
