Stained glass workshops starting late May 2021

It’s a finger’s crossed’, feeling positive, that I will be able to start teaching stained glass workshops again from the 17th May ’20.

New Dates will go up on the website, once I have offered spaces first to those who had their workshops postponed. Keep an eye on the website or be the first to know and ask to be added to the mailing list. Contact Page.

In the meantime during the lock-downs one of the things I have been up to is making a few stained glass panels as commissions and for friends. The last one is a very belated birthday gift for a good friend, in hues of oranges and pinks, finally made with lock-down spare time on my hands. The aim was to use off cuts I already in the studio, a recycling theme. I love hand blown pink glass so much it was almost hard to part with.

The pink glass is made by the only hand-blown glass manufacturer I am aware of in England, English Antique Glass

Stained glass workshops – The Students work

I have a last workshop this Sunday then its putting on the sunhat for August before I start in September with a Stained glass for Beginners weekend Workshop on 21st and 22nd September.

Autumn is a good time to learn new skills of cutting and shaping glass and creating your own panel to take home. It is still light, with red overtones, beautiful autumn colours coming in to inspire, and the winter to hone those skills!

In the meantime a slide show of work made or in progress by those students attending the Monday evening and Wednesday morning courses and the last stained glass for beginners weekend. Some students come to several courses to make their special stained glass projects realised.

Thank you for viewing, if you have any questions about any of the workshops or course please do contact me.

Summer Glass Workshops new dates

Creative glass workshops in July

I am about to run a Stained glass weekend for beginners this weekend 1st and 2nd June, and have set dates for the next workshops in July.

Whilst preparing and choosing glass for people to use, I found myself staring at the glass. I do not seem to tire of how beautiful and uplifting it’s colour and light transmitting properties are.

Here are a few pictures, although it is hard to really show the true splendor of glass through a photograph. Well I find it hard, with a smart phone!

For information on the next Stained glass weekend workshop and Introduction to Copper Foiling workshop follow the links. Why not try your hand creating with glass.
