Autumn Workshops and a little video

September Stained glass – Workshop Dates

We are now half way through the Summer Holidays, although my kids are nearly grown up my mind set and routines are still governed by the school holidays. Bringing a sense of new beginnings in September, new uniform, new class room, new college or University and maybe new set of skills in Stained glass?

I have dates for workshops and classes starting on September 21st and 22nd with Stained glass weekend for Beginners  and Introduction to Copper Foiling on 28th September. Evening and Daytime classes start from the end of September. All classes and workshops are small and friendly.

Stained glass workshops – The Students work

I have a last workshop this Sunday then its putting on the sunhat for August before I start in September with a Stained glass for Beginners weekend Workshop on 21st and 22nd September.

Autumn is a good time to learn new skills of cutting and shaping glass and creating your own panel to take home. It is still light, with red overtones, beautiful autumn colours coming in to inspire, and the winter to hone those skills!

In the meantime a slide show of work made or in progress by those students attending the Monday evening and Wednesday morning courses and the last stained glass for beginners weekend. Some students come to several courses to make their special stained glass projects realised.

Summer Glass Workshops new dates

Creative glass workshops in July

I am about to run a Stained glass weekend for beginners this weekend 1st and 2nd June, and have set dates for the next workshops in July.

Whilst preparing and choosing glass for people to use, I found myself staring at the glass. I do not seem to tire of how beautiful and uplifting it’s colour and light transmitting properties are.

Here are a few pictures, although it is hard to really show the true splendor of glass through a photograph. Well I find it hard, with a smart phone!

For information on the next Stained glass weekend workshop and Introduction to Copper Foiling workshop follow the links. Why not try your hand creating with glass.

It’s a wrap! 2018

On this, the shortest dark day, I am calling ‘time’ on a beautiful colourful Stained Glass 2018.

I’m looking forward to 2019 with more amazing stained glass panels being made, and a new daytime class too, and of course the longer lighter days.

In the meantime, I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Peaceful festive season, with maybe one to many mince pies! I do love mince pies.

There are still a few spaces available on the Introduction to Copper Foiling and the Monday evening class, if anyone wants to join, please do pop me an email and it can be organised by the New Year.

Here are the last few finished stained glass panels of 2018 (not polished or fitted yet) brightening up the day.
