  • Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm
  • Duration: 8 weeks
  • Starting: week beginning19th January ‘26

Each course is limited to just 4 people, ensuring plenty of guidance, support, and one-to-one attention.

Who Can Join

These courses welcome:

  • Beginners with good hand dexterity and the ability to stand at a workbench.
  • Those looking to refresh their skills.
  • Past participants of my one-day workshop who want to take the next step.

What You’ll Learn

Over the 8 weeks, you’ll gain all the essential skills needed to create your own stained glass piece:

  • Designing and creating a cutline pattern
  • Cutting and shaping glass safely.
  • Assembling your project, learning to lead and solder.
  • Using traditional techniques to bring your design to life.

By the end, you’ll have a finished stained glass creation to take home and treasure.

Why Join

Learning in a small group is not only supportive but also inspiring. Creating alongside others allows you to share ideas, see different approaches, and learn from each other’s designs—something you simply don’t get when working alone or following an online course.

It’s a chance to slow down, focus on a mindful craft, and enjoy the satisfaction of making something beautiful with your own hands.

Booking and Pricing

The cost for the full 8-week course is £360. Materials for individual projects are priced separately, allowing you to purchase as little or as much as you like based on your project needs.

To book your place or for more information, please visit our website booking page here. Spaces are limited to ensure personalized attention, so early booking is recommended.

We look forward to welcoming you to the course and helping you create your own beautiful stained glass masterpiece!

New Year 2025 Workshops

Now booking – One day Stained glass beginners workshop

This year has seen my skills in painting on glass starting to grow, with the invaluable support and skills advice of Dennis Eckersley of Design Lights, thank you so much Dennis. Painting on the glass plays with light coming through the glass, and with the colours, to add further dimensions and delights to stained glass windows. Have I mentioned how Stained glass is like magic, and eye candy for the soul.

I will be adding painting to commissions and continue to practise and play with this in wee free moments.

Stained glass workshops

I am running stained glass beginners workshops, roughly once a month on a Saturday. Below in Slide Show, are some of the students and pieces they have made from the One day workshops and the Courses.

Due to commissions and other commitments, I am not running the Introduction to Copper Foiling workshops for a short while.

Thursday Stained glass course

Starting 19th September – one place available

Early September on holiday in Brittany, I had chance to look inside a few local churches and was rather blown away at the beauty and complexity of the painted stained glass windows!

On a more achievable fun level, the opportunity to join one of my stained glass courses and make your own stained glass panel, minus the paint, has just come up. Now, we wouldn’t make such a complex design, but I find that glass is such uplifting eye candy that you wouldn’t be disappointed with the outcome and for years to come can enjoy the sun lighting up the glass.

The space on the Thursday Morning course, is short notice for starting on the 19th September, but you never know, someone may be free and this is will be just the ticket for starting for Autumn.

Do contact me if you would like to join Contact

Now for some Brittany Stained glass.

Withington Baths Stained glass

A lovely short video made for Withington Baths, as part of there Heritage restorations funding project, showing the Schools Stained Glass project. Thank you to Bellevue Productions who created and produced the video, and for letting me show it. I had a fabulous time collaborating with the schools to create the stained glass.

Stained Glass Artwork Showcase: Engaging Creations and New Ventures

Withington Baths stained glass

My most recent stained glass project I’m thrilled about is a series of windows created for Withington Baths, part of their Heritage Fund renovation. I created a community engagement project to design the windows. I worked with 5 local Primary schools and a local young adult learners group.

The designs centred around the themes of ‘Welcoming’ and ‘Community.’ Collaborating with local primary children and young adults on these window designs was a delightful experience. They brought inspiring ideas, a fresh palette of bold colours, and demonstrated exceptional teamwork in finalizing the designs. Here is a reel from my Face Book showing how magical light is through stained glass, and slide show of the work.

Painting and other work

I’ve been a bit of a secret agent when it comes to showcasing my stained glass creations, need to learn to put down the glass cutter and learn how to update website’s gallery. I’ve been painting and firing designs onto glass, which is a thrilling new venture and quite the learning experience. As I figure out how to update my gallery with new pieces, here’s a slideshow featuring some of the stained glass artwork I’ve created.

Interested in having a bespoke painted stained glass window, do ask Contact or ring for a chat, always happy to discuss.
